I have always been interested in Languages, and going to my French lessons at school was an absolute delight. I studied Languages in France until my BTEC Diploma of Higher Education, and then I started working in different countries. I think languages are so important; they allow you to meet many different people. After five years of teaching, I know I love this job and I cannot imagine myself to do something different. After obtaining a degree in law I became a qualified lawyer, and I pursued other professional paths, including legal counselling for immigrants and asylum seekers. It is precisely in this context that I began to develop my desire to spread culture and knowledge.
I volunteered as an Italian teacher for international students and today I conduct in-depth courses on Italian literature and professional development for international jurists.
For a long time, I was involved in qualitative research in the sociological, historical, and scientific fields, refining my analytical and communication skills.
My great passion has always been literature; since childhood, I have been an avid reader. Over the years I have specialised in specific genres, and I have had the privilege to collaborate with different publishing houses and bookstores, to present authors and titles, and to serve as an interpreter from English for some cultural events. Hey guys I’m Shanice and I was born in Germany, with Nigerian roots.
I spent most of my life raised in Ireland before moving to the Netherlands at the age of 17. Languages have always fascinated me, as I was required to learn Irish, German, English (native speaker), and Japanese. Alongside my linguistic pursuits, I developed a deep interest in the sciences, particularly biology and neuroscience.
My academic journey at the University of Maastricht has been both diverse and enriching, thanks to their Maastricht Science Programme. This allowed me to tailor my studies, leading me to specialize in Regenerative Medicine while exploring various fields within biology and neuroscience.
